It would be pretty hard to make the argument that President Bush has been anti-business. Actually, it could easily be argued that President and the Republican Congress created a lot of breaks for big business. Bush also got the tax cuts that he wanted. That has not changed the current situation. Trickle down economics, especially in the current environment has not been shown to be what is best for the overall economy. While you have Exxon Mobile with the largest profits of any company in history, it has not trickled down, inspite of the many tax breaks they recieved. I think conservatives are stuck in an old mindset that believes that companies will treat employees and customers better as they make more money. That may be how it use to be, but companies today are focused on the bottomline and however it takes to improve that. Especially in a time of war, why should anyone believe that more of the same will produce a different outcome than where we are today?
