This is the kind of thing that happens when we do not fully fund education. If we had only spent more money, we would have been able to attract better candidates for teaching positions blah, blah, blah. I am sure the NEA fully supports this "educator" because of his unique way of teaching without burdening his students with tripe such as reading.

Matt, this act is getting old. Trying to make public school teachers look incompetent at every turn. Do u doubt there are some illiterate home-schooling parents out there? I can accept that you want your kids homeschooled, why dont you respect other parents for their choices. Public school has produced 2 Ph.D.s and 3 Master's in my family alone. I do not mean to be ugly, but we have a Presiden that can barely articulate himself at times and you guys love him. You are just too one sided on the issue. This story could have been about an illiterate homeschooling parent and you probably would have not mentioned it.
