At least one of us in this state has to obsess on the negative that is casino gambling. And in the long view, I prefer John Wesley, who mourned over the same in his culture and struck out hard and successfully against them.

"They" thought he was a little scary too.

I have no hope in that Governor will do the right thing for the State of Mississippi. I think this man has a track record for going along with whomever has the deepest pockets. After all this man made a living lobbying. I have no idea who can really win the race, but I'm hoping that we will have new leadership very soon.

I live in Philadelphia, and I come from a family of police officers. The effects that the casinos are having on the people in my local area are horrible. Company owners are losing everything they have on their gambling problems. Wives are leaving their husbands. Crime as gone off the charts campared to what the rate was before the casinos were built. So, maybe, it is time for someone to get an obession about trying to stop all of this.

Anonymous,

Doesn't the following quote from your post pretty well define every trial lawyer around -- particularly the Guv's opponent in the upcoming?

"I think this man has a track record for going along with whomever has the deepest pockets."

If the Governor had done that, he would have sided with the trial lawyers in the tort reform debate. Their pockets are bottomless.
