The problem is that lots of people in this country will vote for her for the exact same reasons as he describes.
Voter apathy and voter ignorance (as displayed by OJ) are the key reasons people like Senator Byrd (D-WV) and Congressman Jefferson (D-LA) will continue being elected too.
I wonder if Mr. Simpson is actually registered to vote and if he will vote.
Lets be fair(or your best attempt) for a minute. George W. Bush was probably the less qualified or prepared person we have had for President. When he was campaigning he stumbled through speeches(still does), did not know Heads of State as well as other issues. Whether you agree with any of the Democrats' policies or philosophical positions, you would be hard pressed to say that they are not ahead of where George Bush was at the same point. You can not lower the bar for people that you like and raise it for people you do not. Have one standard by which you compare people to if you want to be fair-minded about things.
