As you can see in these graphs, MoveOn was correct in their assessment. He has got to be cooking the books because violence has decreased drastically as the "surge" was being implemented. This cannot be factual because Sen. Reid, Rep. Pelosi, et al. have already declared the war lost and the surge as being a waste of time and precious resources. So, GEN. Petraeus, please keep on losing and wasting. I like these kinds of failures. As we pray for the safety of our troops, let us not forget to pray for their success in the mission they have been handed. Whether one agrees with the President or not, it is incumbent upon us to support these brave men and women with our love and heart-felt prayers. May God bless them all.
The question is not whether you can hold a tiger by the tail, but for how long. How about we just take our personally limited knowledge of the results of any outcome out of it and pray for the best? If we were students of history, we would see that making short term deals for political gain just does not work. The very folks we are giving arms to today in Iraq will be fighting us in the next few years. Saddam was our ally at one time then that changed. The same will probably happen with these Muslim extremist we are cozying up to now. Pateaeus and just about everyone else has said that there is NO military solution in Iraq. So, why is it that we keep concentrating on the least important thing? The surge was a success in that it has helped us better protect our troops. But who thinks needing 200 plus thousand troops in an foreign country is a success at any level?
