Barry Bonds

Barry Bonds cheated to be the home run king and baseball superstar. Now that he is under indicted, what should MLB do with the guy?

He cheated? I assume you mean steroids. Do you have a copy of the steroid test he failed? I didn't think so.

Pray for him "pastor". Or did he not give enough in the offering plate?

Why are you being so hateful towards Matt? While I disagree with him on some things, I do not see a reason to be so intolerant of his views. Maybe it is not the messenger you have a problem with, maybe it is the message.
What if your wrong?

Because I find it sad that a "pastor" spews our such junk about another person. Unless Matt has tests that Bonds failed, then he can not say Bonds cheated. That is not what Jesus would do. But then again, the church business today has nothing to do with Jesus anymore.

And oh yes...there is the whole "if you don't agree with me then you have a problem with God" thing. How laughable Larry.

Whether you agree with me or not has absolutely no relevance. What is important is how you react to the Word of God.
I do agree with you concerning the business of many churches not being the business of the Church. THE business of the children of God is to spread the truth, the Gospel, to a lost and dying world. I do not mind you laughing at me, but my deepest hope is that you do not laugh at the Savior's offer to you and all mankind.

So by not agreeing with Matt I am laughing at Jesus? Really? Wow.

Let me put it like this, you are Muslim, therefore it is not the message you have a problem with but it is God whom you have the problem with.

See how silly that is?

Still waiting for Matt to post his proof that Bonds cheated. I'm sure he has the proof that the MLB missed. I mean, it's not like Matt is bearing false witness...is he?

If you will closely read the post, I said, "I do not mind you laughing at me, but my deepest hope is that you do not laugh at the Savior's offer to you and all mankind." I said nothing about your disagreement with Matt being equal to laughing at Jesus.
I am not the sharpest tack, so I really do not understand the analogy about being a Muslim. I can state that Muslims do have a problem with God, but that is between them and Him.
I do not know if Matt will publish his "proof" on this site, but when I listened to the show about this issue, he quoted somebody (do not remember who)that stated if the Federal Govt brings charges against you that there is a 95% conviction rate. That does not mean Bonds is guilty, but it sure does lend credence to the claim that he cheated. Did he cheat? I do not know and really care very little. This is the Thanksgiving season, so let us all be thankful that we can state our opinion without the govt. locking us up and denying us our rights. May God bless all ya'll and may we all know Him for who He is.

Larry, Larry, my dear sweet Larry. You, from your first post, equated disagreeing with Matt with to "having a problem with the Message." No getting around that. but then again, the history of the Christian church shows that they do not like to be disagreed with. The Muslim thing was used to show how silly such a position is.

As for Bond's charges, what are they? Was he indicted for using steroids? No. That to my understanding, is not what he was indicted for. And Matt can throw around all the stats he wants (by the way, 85% of all stats are made up on the spot), that in no way means Bonds cheated.

Here, you have a pastor, a so-called man of God, making a very negative statement about another one of God's creatures without a hint of proof to back up his claim (and I know Matt reads these comments...Matt, your silence here is deafening).

It's sad really. A preacher making false claims? Surely that has never happened before...has it?

Matt's show doesn't play in my state. But, I wonder if he damns Mark McGuire like this? Somehow I doubt it.

Matt, we are still waiting for your proof that Bonds cheated.

Nothing? That is what I thought. Good job preacher.

He may have cheated, he probably did, but the truth is, it has not been proven yet. Punishment should not come before guilt. Barry Bonds is arguably the best baseball player ever, with or without steroids. There has never been a time when he was not good.
So its not like he went from being nothing to some superstar and then faded again after he got off of steriods. The unfair part is that Sosa and Mcquire did not get the same treatment and there were similar allegations against them. In addition, Bonds played during the steriod era when untold numbers of players were juiced on something, even pitchers. Ty Cobb gambled on baseball, was a racist and viciously attacked African Americans off the field. Does he get an asterisk?

There are two incidents involving athletes that I believe have been blown completely out of Barry Bonds is one and Michael Vick is the other. Punishment should not be ongoing and perpetual.

Matt, you have slandered a man's name and you don't even have the guts to defend your actions? What a crock. Although not unexpected at all.

Look...Matt thinks he can make accusations and run away. Preacher, I am going to call you on this BS every chance I get.

Let's see if people will be calling for denotations to be placed beside Roger Clemons' records.
