Dogs?

What is it with Christians and their love for their pets. Billions spent each year because we "love" our animals?

Here.

What gives?

It is rather ironic that you discussed this point today and I also received an email from AFA regarding PETSMART and their lack of having "Christmas" labeled on their holiday gift items. Who cares!
Does anyone truly believe the Lord cares that gifts for dogs and cats are not plastered with the Christmas label?

Not all Christians love their dogs.

In the book "The Strong-Willed Child", Dr. James Dobson brags about about how he beat the family dachshund from one end of the room to the other.

You should be responsible for your pets. But I heard Mark Levin talk more fondly about a dog than he does some human beings. Something is wrong with that picture.

"You ask the question, "What is it with Christians and their love for their pets."

And you reference an article in Slate, of all places?? Ahh, Slate... that bastion of Christian thought.

What does this article have to do with Christians? I cannot find a reference to Christians anywhere in the article.

I guess the question, "What is it with people and their love for their pets" would have been way too secular, eh...
