Endorsement City!
Pat Robertson endorses Rudy Giuliani. Sam Brownback endorses John McCain. Don Wildmon endorses Mike Huckabee.
What do you think about these signs of support?
And who do you support?

sadly, at this point, i'm a bit discouraged by each of the republicans. i can't help but wonder, "is this it?" i do take issue with some of the "front-runners", and yet i can't help but be concerned with the electability of those who are on another tier. i truly am concerned about the direction of the nation if our nation elects a democrat. i know that our trust is not in a political party, but i simply cannot bring myself to vote for a party that is overwhelmingly liberal.
neither would i feel comfortable essentially bowing-out and allowing a democrat to win by vor=ting for an unlikely third party candidate.
could we please get a "black horse" on the gop ticket?
Adam,
I can completely sympathize with you. There is no (D) that I could possibly vote for and the (R)s are not looking anything like what we need. There is no front runner that I am comfortable with and the second tier candidates are not closing the gap. It may end up being the lesser of two evils, but that is not comforting at all.
What is wrong with Fred Thompson?
Does he not stand on your side of most issues?
Jack,
Read the Novak column on this blog.
Thompson - a major abortion blunder
These are the kind of things that make me hesitate to endorse Fred. His support for McCain-Feingold is another reason. I prefer him to Giulliani, but I do not think that says too much about Fred's campaign.
Could it be that the Republican Party wants to get back to a more moderate stance on the issues? Could it be that the average American family has grown tired of Republican “family values” that increasing require dad and mom to work longer hours (time away from the kids) just to make ends meet? Could it be that the “new conservatism” (i.e., mean, nasty trash talk by Limbaugh and Coulter) is a crybaby counterfeit of the old style Goldwater/Reagan doctrines?
When a presidential candidate has to accept the endorsement of a mental patient (or is he a false prophet?) like Pat Robertson then I think it’s time for the Republican Party to invite the philosophical descendants of George Wallace to go ahead and form a third party.
There is only one true conservative candidate on either side: Ron Paul. He is pro-life and stands for limited government, fiscal responsibility, and states' rights. What's more, he actually believes in what he espouses and preaches the same thing today that he has for his entire public career as Congressman from Texas.
