I wonder will conservatives change their view of Rice now that she has said something they probably do not agree with. It is not like she said a controversial statement. You can not be black and not identify with what she said. Alot of people just do not want to hear it. Rice is by no means radical. She never would have had the luxury to speak so freely if she was not at the end of a two term tour with President Bush. If she had said something like this early on, conservatives would have turned against her. This is kinda humorous because Rice was recently applauded for not commenting on race. Does this change the impression people have of her? Whites often feel restrained from talking about race, but some blacks also avoid it because doing so hurts them professionally.
